Getting stuck is the most common challenge when learning how to sugar.

Converting your clients over to Sugar is too.
Establishing trust & credibility through a new skill presents yet another challenge.
But do not let any of these deter you.
There are plenty of expert Sugarists with 10, 15, even 20 years under their belt sugaring and they still get stuck!
Never underestimate the power of community to help you through the learning curves of getting stuck. Always seek out help from seasoned Sugarists in Facebook groups & Esthetician forums.I promise you the Sugaring community is the most welcoming, nurturing & helpful community within esthetics that I have ever come across in my 10 years as a practicing esthetician. It really blows my mind. Within these forums, you have the liberty to ask questions & perspectives that will help you troubleshoot. There is no feeling of gate-keeping, everyone is focused on the same vision & mission: delivering expert & safe quality care with the client’s skin health in mind. It is truly a special community that you won’t regret tapping into.
Converting clients over to Sugar comes with patience, education & lots of nurturing. Explain all the skin benefits Sugar delivers. Be excited about Sugaring when talking about it & posting about it. Your clients will pick up on your genuine enthusiasm. And the more social proof you can post about all the benefits, the better! Example: document a clients journey with pesky ingrown hairs & how they have tremendously improved after switching to Sugar.
Gaining trust & credibility will also come with patience & time but one way to gain it faster is by implementing all your knowledge of skin conditions, proper sanitation, pre & post care education. Leverage all of your Esthetician thinking cap to let your clients know they can trust you with this new skill you’ve brought on.
I hope these tips help! Feel free to email me with questions or for more in depth discussions.
Here’s to smooth strides and sweet wins!
