"Sugaring and waxing are basically the same thing."

→ Not even close—technique, ingredients, direction of removal, and skin impact all differ.

For starters, let us look at application. Sugar is always applied AGAINST the direction of hair growth, while Wax is applied WITH the direction of hair growth.

In Sugar, removal of the paste is done WITH the direction of hair growth VS. in Wax, removal is done AGAINST the direction of hair growth.

Temperature: Sugar is never šŸ™…šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø HOT. Only body or room temperature. If the paste were hot, the service provider would not be able to even manipulate it or hold it safely without getting burned. āœ‹šŸ½ This is my favorite Sugar perk. It's virtually impossible to burn a client. We all know the same can not be said of Wax. šŸ™ˆ

Ingredients 🧪: Sugar is made of 3ļøāƒ£ simple natural ingredients: šŸ’¦ Water, Lemon šŸ‹ juice & sugar šŸ¬.

Wax is made of.........Resins, Fragrances, & a paragraph's worth of ingredients I can't even pronounce. 🤭

How we ever deviated away from Sugar is beyond me! I could go on & on but these are the main differences that are always top of mind for me.

Message me with any questions! I never get tired of discussing all things Sugar & Esthi life. šŸ¤—
